I hope you don't get bored while you read all this, but trust me when I'm done(which can take another few weeks) you will find some lovely pictures and maybe some nice stories, too.

My name is Tanja Hoeftberger. I'm 20 years old (07/29/1984).

Since I graduated from high school my life has changed a lot.

For six months after graduation I spent my time looking for things to do, accepting weird jobs (nothing bad, just not what I was used of) to get money,....

I just had no idea what I wanted to do with my life.

Sor far my life hadn't changed a lot. So I decided to let my dream come true and go to America. I have been in the USA since january 2004 where I'm working as an au-pair and also go to school whenever I have time therefor*g*

My first 4 1/2 months I spent in litchfield, a small, but nice part of Conneticut. Unfortunatly my first host family and I had problems we couldn't work out any more, so I decided to change my host family. In the beginng of june 2004 I moved to Killingworth, a very nice and friendly town in shoreline county. 

I like it here a lot, and I especially adore my host family. I´m glad that it didn´´t work out with the first family, because otherwise I would probably never have met so nice and wonderful people like my host family!!!!!!
